Living abroad and my business go hand in hand. So, instead of taking you through my whole life of growing up in Florida with a family who was passionate about travel, we’re going to start a bit further along…
It’s 2016. I just stepped off the airplane in Valencia, Spain. It was the first day of my semester abroad during my third year of university. From that moment on, my life was changed.
I’m not exaggerating when I say this - I knew I would move back to Spain from the second I arrived. I felt like my absolute best self there.
It wasn’t just the rush of being 20 and dancing until the sun came up (literally). It was the music, the food, the smiles, and the prioritization of living life that the Spanish had. I felt a sense of freedom I had never felt before. Safe to say, I was hooked.
I returned to Florida to finish my final year of university and immediately changed all my plans of getting a “real job” post-graduation. Instead, I applied to be an English Language Assistant in Spain. I got the position and, this time, was heading to Madrid.
From 2017 to 2019, I was finding myself in Spain.
I had an incredible year in Madrid and then followed my heart back to Valencia. I was still so in love with my life in Spain - even though teaching English wasn’t filling my cup. I saw it as my ticket to life abroad, so I kept at it, even though I was feeling the pull to get my life together…
I started to reflect on the side of my life that I'd previously only done in stints: marketing. Growing up in Florida, I had a few marketing and sales internships, supporting clients in sports, public transportation, bicycle safety, and even television production.
Plus, in Spain, I helped a good friend launch and grow a tourist events company. I was the marketer of the group, and I also led the pub crawls (yup, that was me leading drunk tourists through the streets).
One day in 2019, I decided to take a big step following that internal call that marketing felt like the right path. I decided to pursue higher education. I got accepted to study for a Master in Marketing at EADA Business School in Barcelona.
I packed up my life and headed to my third Spanish city - where everything would change, once again.
My OBSESSION WITH Valencia was instant, AND I also fell deeply in love with Barcelona.
The sea, the mountains, the beauty of the city - it made my eyes sparkle. That feeling only heightened when I met my now-husband during my Master’s. Everything was going beautifully. I was enjoying my studies and we were preparing to apply to local companies once we finished.
Then it was March 2020, and everything changed. Life shifted online. Instead of graduating into a thriving city, we were thrown out into a world of uncertainty. I was conflicted on where to go. I wanted to stay in Spain, but I was weary of accepting a full-time role in Europe, knowing it would further limit the time I could spend with my family and friends back home in the United States.
As I was figuring my life out once again, I reached out to a marketing agency back in Florida that I’d worked for various times when stateside. I offered my support on a freelance basis, and they were happy to have me back.
This not only gave me the stability I needed, it also opened my eyes to a new way of working. I was fully remote. I had the flexibility to work anywhere I wanted.
All I needed was my laptop and I was good to go.
This new way of working started to feel really good And the algorithm started to notice…
I began to see content on Instagram that showcased this freedom-based lifestyle - people like me, but with their own location-independent businesses. I was already living that life in some ways, it just wasn’t my “own.”
Until one day, the piece of content that changed everything popped up on my feed. It was a Business Coach explaining how she could teach me to grow and scale my own location-independent business - one that I was passionate about and could take to incredible heights regardless of where I lived. I was instantly hooked. She became my first Coach, and the business that you know (and love) today was born.
I officially launched my business in 2021, taking everything I learned in my Master’s in Marketing and bundling it with a topic that thrives in the online space: funnels and automations.
Fast forward to today, my business gives me everything I could dream of - location independence, the freedom to live my days how I want, connection, and true fulfilment. I can bring my business wherever I go - whether it’s exploring the Mediterranean, visiting family in Germany, extended trips to the USA, or my recent move to Ireland.
The people this work has brought into my life - whether clients or friends - are truly inspirational and I love supporting them in making their dream businesses and lives a reality.
Online businesses have no borders, and it’s motivating to live that truth.
I’m so passionate about funnels, automations, and systems because they provide my clients with that same freedom.
